PREVIOUS POST.....

A strong storm system is moving through Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Northern Texas this afternoon. That same storm system will be slowly pushing into our region providing us with a chance for some strong to severe storms tonight and for your Sunday.

So the Storm Prediction Center still has us under a slight risk (areas shaded in yellow) for severe weather today and tomorrow.

The strongest storms will remain to our West in the Central Plains (areas shaded in red and orange). But, we still have the possibility of getting some strong to severe storms that could be capable of producing large hail and strong winds both tonight and tomorrow evening.

Right now, it looks like the Quad Cities could experience some stronger storms later this evening, but before the midnight hour.

After a break during the overnight and early morning hours of your Sunday, the chance for some strong to severe storms will return Sunday afternoon into Sunday night.

Keep it tuned to CBS4 online and on TV, we'll keep you updated on any changes!
