How Warm will it Get?

That's the big question for the Quad Cities on Tuesday...and while there are MANY, MANY things to consider here are a few things to think about:

Pros for Getting Warm:
A lot of sunshine
Strong wind out of the South
The atmosphere will see good mixing

Cons:
Some snow cover to melt away 1st
Even though it will be sunny March sunshine is not as good at warming as April, May etc. sunshine
Even after the snow melts some of the sun's energy will go to evaporating moisture from the wet ground

Here's some model data which suggests highs anywhere from 53 to 65!
