While we get ready for August here in the Quad Cities places along the gulf coast are getting ready for hurricane season to really get going! Officially hurricane season runs from June 1 through November 30...but there's a definite "busy time" from mid August through mid October. While September is typically the most active month in the Atlantic basin things generally start picking up in August! With that being said here's a graphic from the National Hurricane Center showing a couple areas they're watching for potential development! Here's the link to their site...
