We're going to see a roller coaster ride of temperatures this week.
From today's high of 42° in the Quad Cities, we'll see falling temperatures during the day Tuesday and only recover to around 20° Wednesday. Thursday will be warmer, in the 30s, before highs in the teens Friday.
Snow is in the forecast for tonight and Tuesday with most of the Mississippi and Illinois Valleys picking up less than one inch. Closer to the Wisconsin border, 1-2" could accumulate. Meanwhile, southern Wisconsin will see 2-5" of snow.
So far this season, the Quad Cities have picked up 26" of snow. After the 48° high Sunday, most of the snow has melted away and more will disappear today.
