More Snow On The Way

Several chances of light snow are in the forecast over the next few days.  The first of those chances will arrive tonight and tomorrow.

Snow is already falling across the Dakotas Wednesday morning.  Once this clipper system arrives in Iowa and Illinois, accumulations will be on the light side with less than one inch tonight and less than one inch Thursday.

A more potent disturbance late Friday night and Saturday could bring a few inches of snow to the area before we warm up nicely Sunday and Monday.

So far, in the winter of 2013-2014, we've already picked up measurable snow (0.1" or more) on 16 days and it's only the middle of January!

For the entire winter of 2011-2012, we only had 16 days with measurable snows.  Last winter, we had 21 days with measurable snows and in the winter of 2010-2011, there were 28.  The winter of 2009-2010 had 27 days.
