Zero or Below Zero Low Temperatures

It was another morning with below zero low temperatures.

This marks the 13th zero or below low temperature in the Quad Cities in the winter of 2013-2014.  As a matter of fact, five of the seven days this January have had below zero low temperatures.

Last winter, we had two zero or below zero low temperatures and in the winter of 2011-2012, only one low temperature of zero or below.

In the winters of 2010-2011 and 2009-2010, both had 11 mornings with zero or below zero low temperatures.

As of 9 a.m. Tuesday, the official temperature in the Quad Cities was still below zero and that marked 37 consecutive hours below zero.
