Dangerously cold temperatures and brutal wind chills kicked off this week.
Here are wind chills from earlier this morning.
This is just a snapshot of the wind chills. At times, wind chills approached -50° in our northern hometowns.
A "Wind Chill Warning" remains in effect until noon Tuesday for wind chills of -20° to -40° today, tonight, and early Tuesday.
As for snow, we could see some light snow Wednesday afternoon and Wednesday night.
With the 7.8" of snow this weekend officially in the Quad Cities, we're now up to 25.8" for the 2013-2014 winter season. Our average snowfall in a winter is 31.6"!
Temperatures by Friday and the upcoming weekend should warm into the low-to-mid-30s for highs.
Be safe out there.
