Snow Totals 12/13-12/14

The latest storm which was centered southeast of the Quad Cities in the Ohio Valley dropped a wide range of snow across the viewing area.  The QC metro was on the very northwest fringe of the snow.  The system is so large that it even produced severe weather in Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas Saturday, while continuing to drop snow in the Northeast.

Here are some snow totals locally, both Iowa & Illinois:

And here is a map put together by the National Weather Service, depicting the regional view of snowfall accumulation.
The NWS also put together a great information page on the latest storm system.  Check it out by clicking HERE.

Looking down the road, there is a chance for light snow and flurries with a weak clipper-type system Sunday night, but that shouldn't be more than a dusting or perhaps a half inch at best.  Another system arrives on Thursday.  This time around temperatures will be warm enough to support rain to start, but as the system moves eastward we could have some snow wrap around.  It's too early to throw any amounts out, but it will be something we'll continue watching.
