Warming Following By More Winter

The threat of a significant weekend snow in or near the Quad Cities still exists and we'll continue monitoring the latest computer models to keep you ahead of the storm.

Meanwhile, a warming trend kicking off today will push temperatures to near 40° Wednesday and Thursday.  This will help to melt away some of our snow.  The additional moisture added to the low levels of the atmosphere will cause dense fog to form.

It will be turning colder Thursday night and we could see some freezing rain and hazardous driving conditions into Friday morning.

The CBS4 weather team will keep you updated on this potential icing event and the weekend snow.
