Between last Friday and this morning, we've had four consecutive days with measurable snowfall in the Quad Cities for a total of 3.6".
For the winter of 2013-2014, we're up to eight measurable snows in the metro area and by this time last year, we didn't have one measurable snow in the Quad Cities!
Warmer air is heading our way mid-week before colder temperatures and a wintry mix and light snow comes back Thursday night and Friday.
However, we're watching a system that could bring a decent snow late in the weekend in or near the Quad Cities.
While it's still six days out, NOAA's GFS model is indicating low pressure moving up from the Ohio Valley and this map represents 3 p.m. Sunday.
It shows snow in central and downstate Illinois and Missouri. With the snow that close, any deviation to the north could spell snow for us.
So, as the week goes on, Andy, Kyle, and I will monitor any changes that would snow on us.
