Enjoy the high temperatures today and tomorrow around the 40° mark because winter will be coming back with a vengeance.
An icy mix is possible Thursday night, which will cause slippery road conditions into Friday morning. However, most people are talking more about the snow potential this weekend.
Three days out, here is how it looks. A wintry mix of rain, sleet, freezing rain, or snow will develop from south to north across the area Saturday afternoon. This should quickly change over to snow and become moderate to heavy Saturday night and Sunday.
While the computer models will deviate some before this weekend, we could be seeing a decent amount of snow in or around the Quad Cities.
The CBS4 weather team will continue to monitor the development of this winter storm and bring you the very latest.
