UPDATE:
The National Weather Service has expanded their Freeze Watch and they have issued a Freeze Warning as well. Temperature in the northwestern part of our viewing area will drop to freezing and below freezing early Tuesday morning, mainly between 5am and sunrise. Both advisories expire at 8am Tuesday morning. These freezing temperatures can be deadly to fruit trees and sensitive plants. To protect your plants cover them with blankets or sheets or move them indoors.
Be sure to keep those sheets handy, since we will have another chilly morning on Wednesday. We expect to have freezing conditions across our entire viewing area. There is some hope as the skies stay sunny and the temperatures rise into the 70s by the weekend. Stay warm out there.
