Flooding in Fiji

The largest and most populated island in Fiji has had seen heavy rain and high winds the last few days. The reason behind the intense weather is Tropical Cyclone Daphne. The Fiji Meteorological Service has kept up a severe flood warning for all major rivers, streams, and low-lying areas. The cyclone moves away today allowing for some residents to return home. So far five people have been reported dead and about eight thousand people are displaced due to the flood waters. The flooding also disrupted travel to the island nation with all flights in and out of the Nadi Airport cancelled on Sunday.
