Damage in Dallas, TX



An update to the previous post about damaging tornadoes in Dallas, TX. The National Weather Service has reported as many as 13 tornadoes touched down Tuesday afternoon in northern Texas. The Red Cross is reporting that over 1,100 homes were damaged by the twisters and 349 are reported to be completely destroyed. Many of the families with damaged homes are at Red Cross shelters or staying with family.

One tornado east of Dallas had the rating of EF-3, the strongest of the day, and it had wind speeds upwards of 150 mph. Other tornadoes that touched down had ratings of EF-1 and EF-2. Luckily there are no reports of fatalities in the area.
