It's Supposed to be the Coldest Time of the Year...

On Thursday we broke a record high of 55° that was set back in 1956. Today, temps once again felt like April rather January as they climbed into the low to mid 50s for most neighborhoods around the Quad Cities.

Between January 1st and January 20th is typically the time of winter when temps are at their lowest points for highs and lows. Below is a chart showing the average high temperatures from December through March. Usually, at the end of January temps begin to slowly rise before they really begin to rise at the end of February and into March.

As of today, the 7 day forecast has temps in the 40s for at least another 5 days, which takes us to January 11th. Either we are going to have a really late winter or it's going to be pretty inactive.
