A thank you goes out to Danny McDonald of Colona, IL for sending in a picture of hail from Sunday. The hail was an inch in diameter and it resulted from the severe thunderstorms that moved through our region on Sunday evening. There were several reports of large hail (hail reports are the green circles while yellow indicates reports of strong winds) across the area including hail up to the size of golf balls!
