Late Week Rain
We're still looking at a good chance for rain late Thursday through Friday. However, there are a couple different camps most of the forecasting models are falling into with regards to the rainmaker moving through the Plains. First, it's the remnants of Tropical Storm Hermine that will provide quite a bit of rain to some folks in the Midwest over the next 48 hours.
Some weather models are taking the brunt of the moisture through Northern Missouri and into Southern Illinois. If this happens rain totals in the QC will be less than impressive (.50") However, some other models are taking the storm directly through the QC, which would drop up to 2 or 3 inches of rain in our area from Thursday through Friday. Both situations are plausible, and we should start to see more agreement in the models over the next 12 hours, stay tuned!
This graphic is a 5-day rain total from the NWS Hydrometeorological Prediction Center.
